I have been graduated from Tartu University, Estonia in 1977 majoring in Rhythmic Gymnastic what includes Ballet training and Gymnastics. I have been teaching dance since 1975 in Estonia and in USA since 1989. I have been Dance Specialist and Choreographer in Glendale, California at Verdugo Gymnastic Center and Glendale Family YMCA asflexibility/body-alignment coach for women's competitive gymnastics team. Since 1990 I have been teaching Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Floor Gymnastics, Tap and Jazz in Smithfield Virginia
(Director of European Dance Studio). My students have been compeating yearly in varios regional and national dance competitions winning multiply high score awards, best choreography awards and scolarships awards to Washington D.C.(Washington Ballet School), New York (Joffrey Ballet) , Los Angeles,(Debbie Reynolds Jazz workshop) Dance Educators America Summer Intensive (Las Vegas Ballet Intensive workshop). Many students have been accepted to Governor's School of the Arts in Norfolk, North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, Washington Ballet School and Kirov Academy, both in Washington D.C. Previous student Darli Iakovleva is a principle dancer with Oklahoma City Ballet anf has finished seventh year as a professional dancer : two years in her native country Estonia, two years withNew Yorc Theatre Ballet.
I believe that every child has a talent - my goal is to provide the best instruction, to bring out and develop the talents in each of our students so they build a positive selfimage, becoming more disciplined and selfaware.
